The APPTS was developed through a partnership between the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ Centre for Quality Improvement and the British Psychological Society.
Accreditation Programme for Psychological Therapies Services
The purpose of the APPTS is to support learning and improvement in the delivery of sustainable, high quality, safe and compassionate care.
The accreditation standards have undergone stakeholder evaluation and revision and are now in their third edition (Farquharson, Cohen-Tovee, Palmer, Hodge & Hildreth (2017).
The fourth edition of the APPTS standards is currently undergoing consultation and revision and will be made available soon.
The 2019 edition of the APPTS Annual Forum will take place on Wednesday 13 November at The Bar Convent, York, between 10:00 and 16:00.
Topics to be discussed include:
- good practice in psychological therapy services
- service user involvement
- quality improvement
- integrative care
APPTS member services are entitled to three FREE places each.
Additional member places are charged at £40 each.
Staff from non-member services will be charged £80 per place.
