Chair of the Education and Training Board

The British Psychological Society is looking to appoint a Chair of the Education and Training Board.

The board aims to promote excellence in psychology education and training so that students and academics have access to high-quality education and training, now and in the future.

The Chair of the Board will be:

  • a well-respected academic, with a focus on excellence in learning and teaching

  • someone who is well aware of the challenges faced by students, teachers and other stakeholders across the educational landscape (including schools and colleges and higher education)

  • a strategic thinker that is able to work across the vast ranging education and training priorities, bringing focus for the society, its members and wider academic community

  • an individual who will be able to identify the strategic links between education, training and workforce planning, in England and across the devolved nations

The Chair will also serve as a Trustee of the BPS, playing a key part in the overall strategy and direction.

Closing date for applications is 16 October 2020.

Interviews are to be held within the first 2 weeks of November.
