The British Psychological Society is looking to appoint a Chair of the Education and Training Board.
Chair of the Education and Training Board
The board aims to promote excellence in psychology education and training so that students and academics have access to high-quality education and training, now and in the future.
The Chair of the Board will be:
a well-respected academic, with a focus on excellence in learning and teaching
someone who is well aware of the challenges faced by students, teachers and other stakeholders across the educational landscape (including schools and colleges and higher education)
a strategic thinker that is able to work across the vast ranging education and training priorities, bringing focus for the society, its members and wider academic community
an individual who will be able to identify the strategic links between education, training and workforce planning, in England and across the devolved nations
The Chair will also serve as a Trustee of the BPS, playing a key part in the overall strategy and direction.
Closing date for applications is 16 October 2020.
Interviews are to be held within the first 2 weeks of November.
