FAQs: Responding to consultations

What standard of training will be required for entry to the Health Professions Council register?

The Health Professions Council is consulting on the threshold level of training/qualifications. The Society will submit a single official response to the consultation document. A draft response is posted in the members only area of this website and the deadline to receive comments on this document have now passed.

What standards of proficiency will be required of registered psychologists?

The Health Professions Council is consulting on the standards of proficiency required. The Society's draft response is posted in the members only area of this website and the deadline to receive comments on this document have now passed.

How can I respond to the consultations?

The Society will submit a single official response to each of the consultation documents. It will draw together the views of its members and include in its responses the range of views expressed and points of consensus.

The draft responses to each of the HPC consultations and the Section 60 Order public consultation can be found in the members only section of the website now. The deadline for comments on these has passed.

Members of the Society are welcome to submit a response direct to the government or Health Professions Council but this would be purely as an individual.
