Public Engagement

Each year, the Society makes a sum of money available to undertake activities that will engage the public with psychology. This takes the form of Public Engagement Grants which are available to all Society members and member network groups.

The Publication & Communication (P&C) Board aims to undertake sustainable public engagement activity, as part of the Society's strategy of Taking Psychology to Society.

In addition to the annual grants scheme, the P&C Board organises an annual joint lecture with the British Academy, and has previously held joint day seminars with the Nuffield Foundation, arranged events jointly with the Science Museum, and organised psychology-based supplements in the Top Sante magazine.

Any suggestions about possible public engagement activities would be most welcome; please contact the P&C Policy Advisor.
