Past Public Engagement Events

The Society regularly takes psychology to society; some oustanding events were:

• Every year, the Society provides grant funds to members undertaking outstanding public engagment projects. Three projects were funded by public engagement grants in 2009.
• Positive Psychology & Positive Education. The 2009 annual British Academy/British Psychological Society Lecture, 29 September 2009. Delivered by Dr Martin Seligman.
• Top Sante Supplement (Happy New You)
• Investigative Psychology - a website produced by a recipient of the Society's Public Engagement Grants scheme, focussing on what is sometimes called Forensic Psychology
• Effective psychological treatments for anxiety disorders: science, policy and economics. The 2008 annual British Academy/British Psychological Society Lecture, 17 October 2008.
• What Makes Humans So Different? The 2007 annual British Academy/British Psychological Society Lecture, 11 October 2007.
