Parliamentary Office

The Society works with Government Departments on relevant legislation and regularly submits evidence to Select Committee enquiries. The Parliamentary Office and the Research Board work together to manage the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology (POST) Fellowship programme; and briefings (POST notes) on various subjects have been published. The Parliamentary Office monitors proposed legislation and policy and works with partners inside and outside parliament.

Parliamentary Officer

The Parliamentary Officer is a member of staff who advises the Society on Parliamentary issues, ensures that information from Parliamentary systems is appropriately communicated within the Society, and implements the Society's agreed strategic and policy decisions. The Parliamentary Officer is Dr Ana Padilla.
