Standing Committee for the Promotion of Equal OpportunitiesWelcome to The British Psychological Society's Standing Committee for the Promotion of Equal Opportunities (SCPEO).
The Society has a strong commitment to equal opportunities and is committed to a programme of action designed to make its policy effective both in its work as a professional body and as an employer. The Standing Committee for the Promotion of Equal Opportunities, which is a Standing Committee of the Board of Trustees, plays an important role in assisting the Society to implement and promote equality. It has various functions, including advising the Board of Trustees on the maintenance of our plan for equality and diversity and monitoring implementation of the policy across the Society, commenting on internal and external documents, and undertaking equal opportunities monitoring of the membership of the society. We would like to thank all Boards, Committees and members of the Society for their responses. The final version is now under development in consultation with the Board of Trustees.
