Vacancy: Chair of Publications and Communications Board

The Publications and Communications Board is searching for a new Chair to serve from 2009-2012.

This voluntary position is an opportunity to make a real difference by chairing an action-orientated Board whose remit is:

• to improve the co-ordinated dissemination of the discipline both to internal and external audiences
• to raise the profile of psychology in the wider community
• to provide relevant psychological expertise, based on evidence, on social and political issues
• in short, to work towards the Society’s objective ‘…to promote the advancement and diffusion of a knowledge of the discipline ….’

The person appointed will automatically become a Trustee of the Society and a member of the Representative Council.

The successful candidate will serve as Chair Elect for approximately 6 months before taking over from Professor Graham Davey and becoming Chair following the 2009 Annual General Meeting.
