To promote the development and understanding of Social Psychology in the U.K.
via:
a) an annual section scientific conference;
b) other scientific meetings, research seminars and workshops as can be arranged;
c) disseminating news and views about social psychology and social psychologists
through the Section's journal: the Social Psychological Review;
d) Section-sponsored symposia at the BPS Annual and/or London conferences;
e) encouraging and helping to support visits to the U.K. by distinguished overseas
social psychologists;
f) encouraging postgraduate participation by postgraduate students through subsidies
at Section Annual Conferences and other meetings of the Section;
g) fostering links with other sections;
h) participating in other appropriate BPS bodies which further the development
of psychology in general and social psychology in particular.
