Beyond Words - Trauma and Human Condition

Trauma impacts on individuals, families and societies in ways that
challenge the human capacity to endure, survive and grow. This
conference provides an opportunity to learn how psychotherapy, of
various theoretical orientations, endeavours to transform the
unspeakable and bear the intolerable, often challenging
psychotherapists to go beyond the technicalities of words, of
therapeutic techniques, in the search for understanding and enabling of
individual growth and recovery. Our keynote speakers and presenters
have demonstrated this in their search to improve psychotherapeutic
theory and practice and their work sets the context for this
conference.
Day 1 - Integrating mind and body in the psychotherapeutic endeavour
Day 2 - Human values, trauma and society- compassion, war and psychosis
