Project Plans

There are five projects which have been approved by MPTB and the Board of Trustees, these are as follows:

• Project 1 - Contextualisation of NOS and simplification of language
  Aims to produce a set of NOS for each Division, derived from the generic NOS, in a language which is meaningful to each professional group.
  
• Project 2 - Express BPS Qualifications in terms of NOS
  Aims to develop postgraduate qualifications for each Division based on NOS, incorporating the learning specification and assessment specification. To seek QCA approval of these qualifications as vocationally related qualifications
  
• Project 3 - Relate accreditation criteria for postgraduate courses to NOS Aims to ensures that accreditation criteria are consistent with NOS
  
• Project 4 - Registration procedures project
  Aims to develop mechanisms and criteria for using NOS as a means of assessing competence to Register.
  
• Project 5 - Software project
  Aims to develop NOS database for BPS members, allowing the NOS to be accessed via the BPS website.
