How to Become a National Assessor

In order to become a National Assessor you will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Substantial experience as a Consultant Band 8c and/or above.
  2. Relevant up-to-date specialist knowledge and experience as a consultant Psychologist.
  3. Fully trained and experienced in assessment and interviewing skills, including competency based assessment.
  4. Be able to provide evidence of personal development eg. Continous Professional Development log.
  5. Have knowledge of clinical governance and other relevant NHS policies and strategies.
  6. Be fully trained in recruitment and selection practices for senior posts. Be aware of current legisltaion in thsi area.
  7. Be fully trained in equal opportunities and diversity related to recruitment and selection.
  8. Be available to travel.
