Background

The role of National Assessor's is to provide advice for the recruitment and selection of Consultant Psychologists appointments. Guidance can be sought from National Assessors by employers seeking to recruit and select Consultants at band 8c and above.

It should be noted that National Assessors are no longer directly involved in regradings as these are now completed through the A4C matching panels.

A register of Assessors is currently maintained by the British Psychological Society and regular training is provided by the Society for all Assessors. Guidance documents are produced and updated on a regular basis and are available on this web-site.
