One year on: website celebrates its first birthday
This time a year ago the button was pressed to launch the Society’s redesigned website.
Since the redesign launch, the website has seen a significant rise in usage. With over 2.2 million visits which is an increase of 12.5% since launch.
The redesign project aim was to provide the Society with an online presence that is easy to use, engaging in the delivery of services and allows greater dissemination of psychological knowledge to members and the wider public.
The website may have been launched, but work on our online presence continues.
With the recent launch of the Origins Project and Division of Sport and Exercise (DSEP) ‘Going for Gold’ Sports Portal in association with the Society’s public engagement grants, our web presence is increasing every day.
Our evolving web presence is supported by our social media channels. Collectively we have over 11,000 subscribers, likes and followers on our official Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube channels.
Over the next year we have some exciting projects that will add to the Society’s benefits of belonging. These include the redesign of the BPS Learning Centre’s myCPD system and the launch of our online Member Networks groups.
We endeavour to increase our web environment and develop its content, navigation and interactivity. Our website is for you and to help develop our web space your feedback is crucial to its future.
Furthermore we would like to thank you for your ongoing support and hope you enjoy visiting the Society’s redesigned website.
