University of Kent funding news
The Psychology Society at the University of Kent is looking to use new funding to help it build on the success it enjoyed last year. During the summer, the society was selected along with 14 other teams to receive sponsorship from investment group Find Invest Grow - and the financial backing should enable the outfit to expand.
Michelle Vermeulen, President of the learning institute's Psychology Society and a student member of the British Psychological Society, explained the new sponsorship - which is worth £1,000 - will reduce the cost of activities for members.
Ms Vermeulen stated: "We're all very excited about how much this is going to help us develop the society."
The funding should enable the group to further its standing, which was boosted in 2011 when it became a Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS)-accredited society, was named Best Society at the Kent Union awards and came in second place at the RBS Enterprising Student Society Accreditation bronze award competition.
