Toddlers and their perception of risk

Infants can't tell us what they can and can't perceive in the world so psychologists make assumptions about this based on their behaviour.
A new study discussed on our Research Digest exposes the limits of this approach, demonstrating that how babies choose to behave isn't based only on their perceptual abilities but also on their assessment of risk.
