Shortlist for our Book Award is announced
Five titles have been named on the shortlist for this year’s Society Book Award, made jointly by the Research Board and Psychology Education Board. Made each year, this award recognises excellent published work in psychology.
The five books shortlisted are:
The Psychology Book by Catherine Collin, Nigel Benson, Joannah Ginsburg, Voula Grand, Merrin Lazyan & Marcus Weeks (Dorling Kindersley)
Nature of Early Memory: An Adaptive Theory of the Genesis and Development of Memory by Mark L Howe (OUP)
What is Madness? By Darian Leader (Penguin)
The Organisation of Mind by Tim Shallice & Rick Cooper (OUP)
Changing Minds in Therapy: Emotion, Attachment, Trauma and Neurobiology by Margaret Wilkinson (Norton)
The winner will be announced in the autumn.
Recipients of the award are invited to deliver a Book Award Lecture at the Society's annual conference, at which they are presented with a commemorative certificate.
