Psychology findings outside the lab

Most psychology research takes place under laboratory conditions allowing tight control over the exact interventions and procedures participants are exposed to. That makes for neater science but leaves the discipline vulnerable to claims that the results aren't relevant to real life where things are far messier.
A paper reported on our Research Digest set out to examine how big a problem this is for psychology.
