MBE for educational psychologist
Lynne Babbington was awarded an MBE in the recent Birthday Honours list for services to educational psychology in the London Borough of Harrow.
She has worked for Harrow since 1998, latterly in a specialist post working with looked after children. She has particular interests in language and communicaton (in which she has a Masters degree) and cognitive behavioural therapy.
Commenting on her honour, Lynne Babbington said:
“I am delighted to receive this honour both personally and for the educational psychology service for which I work. It is very pleasing to have recognition of the work we applied psychologists do to support the development, learning and well-being of children and young people. I would also thank the excellent training I have had and the support of the service I work in'.
Lynne Babbington trained as an educational psychologist at Nottingham University before working for the city’s educational psychology service. She then worked for the educational psychology service in the London Borough of Barnet before moving to Harrow.
