Two new reviews from our Psychological Testing Centre

24 January 2018

The latest tests to be reviewed by our Psychological Testing Centre (PTC) are the Risk Type Compass (published by Psychological Consultancy Ltd) and the Employee Thriving Index (published by The Talent Enterprise).

The Risk Type Compass is an online psychometric assessment that aims to capture the ways in which adults behave in risk-orientated situations. It provides three measures:

  • Risk Type, a personality based measure of an individual’s disposition towards risk.
  • Risk Attitude, an estimate of Risk Attitude across five different risk domains.
  • Risk Tolerance; the Risk Tolerance Index is an estimate of an individual’s overall Risk Tolerance.

BPS members and members of the Register of Qualifications in Test Use can sign into the PTC website and read the full review. Non-members can read a summary of the test review there.

The Thriving Index is a profiling tool for assessing personal strengths and work orientations. This questionnaire measures strengths rather than the more fixed personality characteristics normally measured by similar questionnaire.

Again, BPS members and members of the Register of Qualifications in Test Use can sign into the PTC website and read the full review. Non-members can read a summary of the test review there.
