Bournemouth University to host free event exploring how psychological research can be applied in cyber security.
British Psychological Society (BPS) chartered member Dr John McAlaney will be among the speakers at a free event on the psychological of cyber security that is taking place at Bournemouth University on 18 October.
Other speakers including Dr Daisuke Miyamoto from the Nara Institute of Science and Technolology in Japan, and Professor Debi Ashenden from the University of Portsmouth.
The event will explore how psychological research theories can be applied to the cyber security domain in order to better understand the motivations, decision making processes and group dynamics of those involved.

Dr John McAlaney is also leading a Society behaviour change document on cyber security that will be released next month, whilst he was also featured in The Psychologist magazine alongside Helen Thackray, who is also speaking at the event, discussing hacking.
