01 March 2017

The free public lecture is set to be held in Dundalk on 22 March.

A free, open public lecture entitled 'Promoting Wellbeing and Mental Health: Illustrations from research across the lifespan' is set to be held in Dundalk on 22 March, jointly organised by the British Psychological Society Northern Ireland Branch (NIBPS) and The Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI).

The event will kick off the NIBPS 2017 annual conference and include four presentations relating to the promotion of wellbeing and mental health, including a paper by Dr Nicola Doherty on positive parenting and a paper by Dr Gavin Breslin on community participation in sport.

Dr Liz Simpson and Dr Frank Doyle will also be presenting their research on the night, with the possibility of an exhibition promoting local relevant health services to precede the lecture.

This is a free session that is open to the general public, commencing at 7pm with light refreshments also available.
