New Year’s Honours for Siriol David and Miranda Wolpert

Two members of the British Psychological Society have been recognised in the New Year’s Honours.

The members so honoured were:

  • Dr Siriol David, former head of forensic psychological services at the National Offender Management Service, who was awarded the CBE for services to offender management.
  • Professor Miranda Wolpert, director of the Evidence Based Practice Unit, which is part of both University College London and the Anna Freud Centre, who was awarded the MBE for services to child and adolescent mental healthcare. Miranda's reflections on her award can be read here.

A third psychologist, Professor Janice Kay, provost, senior deputy vice-chancellor and professor of cognitive neuropsychology, at the University of Exeter, received the CBE for services to higher education.
