Latest policy newsletter focuses on meetings with MPs

08 August 2018

A new update from our policy team is now available to read, and leads on a number of recent meetings between our Lead Policy Advisor and Members of Parliament (MPs).

Dr Lisa Morrison Coulthard met with Luciana Berger MP to discuss the key gaps in the Government's Children and Young People's Mental Health Green Paper, the importance of PSHE in supporting children's mental health and wellbeing, and our call for end to end reform of Work Capability Assessments.

Meetings were also held with Chris Elmore MP and Paula Sherriff MP, whilst a meeting with Dr Sarah Wollaston MP, the Chair of the Health Select Committee, informed us that there will be a new inquiry into the first 1000 days of a child's life, launching shortly and to which we will be responding.

Our policy update keeps readers up to date with the team’s work and lists forthcoming inquiries at Westminster and the parliaments of the nations of the United Kingdom, as well as giving news from the field of public policy.
