This year's joint lecture will be on the theme of authoritarian populism in global politics.
This year's annual joint lecture, organised by the British Academy and the British Psychological Society (BPS), has been announced for Tuesday 14 September and will take place at The Royal Society in London.
Professor Stephen Reicher FBA, from the University of St Andrews, will give a lecture titled 'Trust the people! On the psychology of authoritarian populism', which will examine recent political trends including the election of Donald Trump.
Further details on the lecture can be found on the British Academy's event page.
First taking place in 2001, the joint lecture has now become an annual event and previous talks, including last year's on stress, can be accessed here.
