29 November 2017
The Society’s annual meeting with the Health and Care Professions Council took place at the start of November.
High on the agenda was the possibility of change in health and social care regulation following the publication of the Department of Health (DoH) consultation paper Promoting professionalism reforming regulation.
The possibility of regulation by function not title, the protection of the title ‘clinical neuropsychologist’ and issues with the title ‘sport and exercise psychologist’ were among the other subjects discussed.
The Society is preparing a response to this DoH consultation. We are reliant on the expert psychological expertise of our members in order to provide evidence based responses to a whole range of stakeholders including Government departments and Policy decision makers.
