Contributions sought for Community Psychology Festival 2017

07 June 2017

The third annual Community Psychology Festival will be held at The Arnolfini in Bristol from 15-16 September this year.

The call for contributions is now open for the third annual Community Psychology Festival, which will be held in Bristol from 15-16 September.

Community psychology is a branch of applied psychology that highlights the detrimental effects of structural inequality and competitive individualism on mental health and wellbeing, with the festival being a friendly and accessible alternative to an academic conference.

Proposals are being invited in relation to the four themes for this year's festival, which are:

  • Housing, mental health and wellbeing.
  • Supporting those who work in communities.
  • What's art got to do with it?
  • What does it mean to be critical?

Proposed activities can include workshops and masterclasses, debates, films, research presentations, performances, community projects or examples of collaborative work, whilst ideas for alternative formats are also welcome.

Please submit your festival contribution proposal form, available on the registration website, to this address by 5pm on 30 June.

More information on the Community Psychology Festival 2017 can be found on the Facebook page or website.
