A new source of funding for innovative ways of helping people with mental health or musculoskeletal problems stay in work has been launched this week.
The Challenge Fund will encourage innovation and ideas with an emerging evidence base. It has £4.2m to fund small- to medium-scale initiatives that aim to help those at risk of losing their job because of sickness or who are already off work through ill health.
Applications are welcome from organisations in any sector, including employers, charities, social enterprises, local authorities and health bodies. Applications from smaller organisations are particularly welcome.
The deadline for applications is Friday 17 August 2018.
The Challenge Fund is run by the government’s Work and Health Unit, which is a joint unit funded by the Department for Work and Pensions and Department of Health and Social Care.
