Once you become a member of the Society, you can join a Special Group. Our Special groups provide a forum for members working in particular specialist fields, that helps promote standards. These include:
Formation of a Special Group for Independent Practitioners
The purpose of this group would be to promote and maintain best practice, adequate content and levels of continued professional development and to represent this very diverse group of practitioners within the Society.
This special group is proposed as an addition to the existing member networks as it reaches across diverse fields rather than focusing on one area of applied psychology.
The proposal to form a new Special Group for Independent Practitioners has been endorsed by the Board of Trustees. In compliance with the Charter, Statutes and Rules, one per cent of the total membership is now required to show support for the formation of the Section.
