Welcome to Welsh Branch of the British Psychological Society
Welcome to the Welsh Branch of The British Psychological Society web page. The Branch is keen to help with any enquiry that you may have, so please don't hesitate to contact us. It's important to us that we do as much as possible to meet the requirements of our members.
At present the Welsh Branch has some 1600 members who are distributed widely across Wales but with main groupings around the major towns and cities.
The Welsh Branch committee includes representatives from across Wales.
Activities of the Welsh Branch
Annual Student Conference
The Branch organises an Annual Student Conference, usually in mid-to-late April. The themes are broad-ranging to attract as many delegates as possible.
The Branch annually awards BPS prizes to students from Welsh Universities.
The Branch holds a number of Scientific Meetings throughout the year. Please check the Events page to look for future events and scientific talks of interest.
Support of Members' Activities
The Branch sees the support of members as one of its central functions. We are therefore very keen to help members organise and advertise seminars and conferences in Wales, and we can also - within certain limits - help to subsidise such meetings from our funds.
