The Social Psychology Section Annual Conference 2017 is a two-day conference with the option of attending a pre-conference workshop 'Making a Difference: Impact for Impact' on the afternoon prior which is being run jointly by the Social Section and SPSSI-UK (more info to follow shortly).

Special Psychology in the Pub talk for International Women's Day, March 8th 2017

How Not to be a Woman: Understanding Cybermisogyny & Anti-Feminism Online. A talk by Dr Jenny Cole, Senior Lecturer in Psychology at Manchester Metropolitan University. The special talk is being hosted by BPS NW Branch in conjunction with the BPS Social Psychology Section.

Venue: Leaf at Portland Street, Manchester. March 8th 2017, 7-9pm. The event is free to attend.

Awards dealine approaching 

The nominations are open for our Phd, Mid-career and Distinguished Contribution to Social Psychology Awards. Find out more information about  how to apply, and current award holders here.

Deadline for nominations EXTENDED : March 13th 2017, 5pm. 

Funding call: Pump Priming Scheme

We welcome applications to our pump priming scheme. These are small grants for the purpose of pump priming and dissemination. The aim of these grants is to enable Section members to organize events which may lead to a larger research project or similar outcome, or the further dissemination of work already conducted.

The deadline for applications is May 1st 2017. More information and how to apply can be found here.
