Annual General Meeting 2016
Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the History and Philosophy of Psychology Section will be held on Tuesday 22 March 2016, 5pm at Leeds Trinity University, Brownberrie Lane, Horsforth, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS18 5HD.
Nominations are invited for:
Chair (tenure 1 year)
Honorary Secretary (tenure 3 years)
Honorary Treasurer (tenure 3 years)
Committee member - Editor History and Philosophy of Psychology (tenure 3 years - can be any Section member with voting rights)
Committee member x 2 (tenure 3 years - full member of the Section with voting rights)
Committee member x 2 (tenure 3 years - can be any Section member with voting rights)
Nominations for the above vacancies should be sent to the Honorary Secretary on the enclosed nomination form, at the Society’s offices to reach us no later than 12 noon on Tuesday 9 February 2016, at the address on the nomination form.
All nominees must be Full Members of the History and Philosophy of Psychology Section with voting rights unless otherwise specified. The nominations require a proposer and seconder who must be Full Members of the History and Philosophy of Psychology Section with voting rights and the consent of the nominee to accept office, if elected, must be obtained in writing.
Nominees are asked to complete brief biographical details of not more than 300 words, using the reverse of the nomination form. This information will be used should a ballot be necessary.
To submit a nomination by email please scan a copy of the signed form and send it to the email address stated on the nomination form.
Alternatively, if the nominee does not have the signatures for the proposer or seconder, the nominee can email the completed form and ask that the proposer or seconder separately send an email from their Society-registered email address - including their membership number - to Member Network Services, stating they are happy to propose or second the nominee.
