Paediatric Faculty

Welcome to the Faculty of Paediatric Neuropsychology

The Faculty of Paediatric Neuropsychology is part of the Division of Neuropsychology. Established in 2011, it helps to organise and support the increasing public and professional interest in this rapidly developing field.

Aims

The Faculty of Paediatric Neuropsychology exists to promote the scientific advancement of paediatric neuropsychology and clinical practice. It operates within the division of neuropsychology to support appropriate policy development, provide continuous professional development and represent the needs of members practising within the field of paediatric neuropsychology. It also aims to educate and raise the international profile of paediatric neuropsychology amongst the public, multidisciplinary colleagues and service users.

How to join

Members of the Division of Neuropsychology may apply for membership of the faculty. Members of the faculty need not be on the Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists. To join, for free, complete the application form (link to form) and return it to:

Useful Resources

There is a child neuropsychology email group which shares information about news relevant to paediatric neuropsychology, events and jobs and provides an online forum to discuss issues relevant to clinical practice. To join please email: CHILD-NEUROPSY-UK

The Psychology in Childhood Epilepsy Network is an online forum which allows psychologists who work with children with epilepsy to share ideas and discuss issues relevant to clinical practice and research. They also produce a monthly newsletter. 

The Child Brain Injury Trust is a charitable organisation that aims to improve the quality of life of children and young people with a brain injury. They provide a helpline, events, conferences, research, information and advocacy. 

The Children’s Trust Tadworth, a leading charitable organisation for children with brain injury has developed the brain injury hub, a website for parents, teachers and families which shares expertise about brain injury.
