Payment by Direct Debit
Notices of impending direct debit are sent out a minimum of 2 weeks before the payment is taken. Members who pay by annual direct debit will have their main subscriptions taken at the end of January. Members who pay by direct debit receive a subscription reduction of £4.

This facility is available to members who pay by direct debit. There is a a quarterly payment supplement of £4 per annum.

Please note: We only have the facility to set up a direct debit for those members who obtain a UK bank account.

If you do transfer any money into the Society's account, please make sure that you inform the
Subscriptions Department. Could you also provide us with the date, the amount and the reference of the transfer.
Please note: Bank transfers are not the same as direct debit payments. Therefore an one-off payment into our account will not give you the £4 reduction like the annual direct debit. If you do proceed with a direct transfer, please make sure that you notify the Society and use your name and membership number as a reference
Pay fees online
Subscription fees for Society and Member Networks memberships, plus a range of additional products and services for members can now be paid online.
Payment is made by credit or debit card via a safe, secure system. At present, full payments only can be made online; part payments are not possible.
Payment by credit card, cheque or postal orders
Invoices are sent in November or December. Please pay promptly, as membership runs on an annual basis each year.
Payment due date
All membership subscriptions, fees and journal payments are due on 1 January each year.

Income Tax
The Inland Revenue has agreed to allow tax relief on all Society membership subscription fees, including Division, Section, Special Group and Journal fees.
Cancellation
If you wish to cancel your Society membership or annual subscriptions, for example, membership to divisions, sections, etc., this must be received before 24 January 2010, otherwise you will be charged for the full years fees.
Refund policy
As of 1 July 2009, both Senior Management and the Trustees of the Society have declared that as membership is on an annual basis, no refunds will be given to members who resign during the year. The Society is a professional body and if you wish to resign from membership you need to inform us by e-mail, letter or telephone.
