Publications

  • The Psychologist: The Society's monthly magazine, which now includes Psychologist Appointments advertising job vacancies for psychologists. Available free to members.
  • Journals: The Society's international primary research journals. Discounts of up to 65% for members and online access to articles in included free of charge.
  • Books: Books published by the Society under the BPS Blackwell imprint. Significant discounts for members.
  • OUP Bookclub: Exclusive 20% member discounts on books by Oxford University Press.

Products and Services

  • The British Psychological Society Credit Card: 0% interest on balance transfers for the first 12 months (3% handling fee), 0% on card purchases for the first 3 months, typical rate 15.9% APR (variable), and online account management.
  • Conferences & Events: The Society run conferences and events on a wide range of topics. Discounted registration rates available for members.
Certificate Framing Service - Information and application form
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance: It is the responsibility of every Chartered Psychologist to ensure that they have third party insurance cover for their work and, where their employers do not provide it, to effect such cover themselves. Other practising members should also follow this advice. The Society approves insurance schemes with two companies.
  • Chartered Psychologist Logos: Download the Society logo for Chartered Psychologists for use on letter heads and business cards. Free service to members.

Membership Groups

  • Chartered Scientist Status: Members of the Society who are entitled to Chartered Psychologist status are also able to apply for Chartered Scientist status.
    Networks for Members: Scientific and professional groups to exchange information, ideas and knowledge.
  • Branches: Automatic membership of the regional support network.
