Psychologists pledge international co-operationPsychologists from different continents will be pledging to work more closely together as part of an international event. The British Psychological Society is hosting an International Roundtable session on Wednesday 2 April 2008 as part of its Annual Conference, being held at the RDS in Dublin. This will be jointly hosted by the Presidents of the British Psychological Society and the Psychological Society of Ireland. The event will bring together the Presidents of psychological societies in America, Australia, South Africa, Denmark and Poland. The Psychological Society of Ireland will be signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Psychological Society of South Africa. Her Excellency Ambassador Priscilla Jana from the Embassy of South Africa will join Saths Cooper, the President of the Psychological Society of South Africa, and the other presidents to witness the event. The British Psychological Society will also be signing a Memorandum of Understanding with The American Psychological Association and the Australian Psychological Society. The Memorandum of Understanding sets out a number of points of agreement between the organisations, including maintaining regular communication to discuss matters of common interest and identifying projects and activities in which they may work together.
