London & Home Counties Branch Question & Answer Career Session

The session will run for an hour and will take the form of an informal question and answer session over the lunch break in separate small groups. It is designed so that students can ask questions about the different routes to becoming a psychologist in the different specialist fields and what the job entails. The speakers are all working in academic departments providing the training and have worked in the field so can talk about the job. There are no formal presentations, you will need to identify where the psychologist answering questions on the area you are interested in is located and go and ask questions.

We are hoping that there may be an Educational Psychologist present on the day and an announcement will be made at the Lectures if that is so.Also not covered today are Sports Psychology and Forensic Psychology. These are all popular areas and you will need to find out about these separately if you are thinking of a career in this area by looking at the relevant section of the BPS website: www.bps.org.uk
