Research & Professional Practice Collaborations

The London and Home Counties Branch is proposing to host a research collaboration and professional practice initiative via the website. Members who would like help to find subjects for research, find partners or associates for collaborative research or funding bids, or other related matters, or professional practice partners and related matters, may request a message to be posted on a new, dedicated part of the branch website. This is not intended for gaining clients for private practice or for advertising job vacancies or availability.

Format of message:

Please supply a heading max 12 words long and a message max 250 words long. The body of the message should briefly state

  • your name, qualifications, and contact details (eg telephone number, email address, work address). Your email address must be stated.
  • your employing organisation
  • the nature of the work and/or collaboration proposed the source of any funding underpinning the work or collaboration proposed
  • geographical location of the work (if applicable)
  • your membership number
  • what happens next

Procedure for getting a posting on the website network:

If you want your message posted up on the relevant section of the website please email londonandhc@gmail.com. Please type "Research collaboration and professional practice, membership number *********** " in the subject line of your email.

Only messages from members of the BPS will be allowed. Please quote your membership number. Messages will be reviewed by the committee and may not be posted up. The committee’s decision will be final. Messages will be posted as soon as feasible and for one month maximum. If there are a large number of messages we may have to operate a queuing system.

Monitoring the success of this initiative:

Please email us when you have had a successful outcome to your enquiry and in any event please let us know at the end of one month what has happened (eg whether any responses were received and whether of value). This will help us to determine the value of this initiative and any possible improvements that might be made.

The London and Home Counties’ Branch of the British Psychological Society is pleased to bring you these opportunities but takes no responsibility for the success or otherwise of messages posted. You should satisfy yourself about the nature of the enquirer or advertiser. The views expressed by the members’ postings are not necessarily the views of the Society or Branch. The branch reserves the right not to publish or to remove publications from the website.
