12:00 Workshop starts
15:00 Workshop ends
This is a lecture on rational emotive behaviour therapy with demonstrations of rational emotive imagery and hypnotherapy. Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy, the pioneering cognitive therapy based on the work of Dr Albert Ellis and his wife Dr Debbie Joffe Ellis, theorises that most forms of human psychological problems are a form of demands and inaccurate definitions on self, others or the world. REBT teaches semantic precision, to be less demanding and more accepting of self, others and the world thus reducing anxiety, anger and depression towards concern, annoyance and sadness.
The lecture will explain psychological symptoms in detail, the detrimental effect of memory, drawing on the work of Dr Claire Weekes and my own experiences and clinical work of 19 years full-time practice.
The lecture will demonstrate how hypnotherapy enhances the above and depotentiates irrational beliefs and utilizes the theories and practice of the Psychiatrist and researcher of clinical hypnotherapy, Milton H, Erickson and Dr Albert Ellis, a Diplomate from the American Board of Psychological Hypnosis.
This lecture is suitable for health professionals: Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, GPs, Psychiatrists, Social Workers, Teachers and Students.
