Psychology of Women Section Annual Conference 2011
The Psychology of Women's (POWS) annual three-day conference covers a wide range of issues including: gender, mental health, women's health, feminist theory, masculinities, sexualities, qualitative methodologies, disability, ethnicity and racism. Contributions include papers, symposia, posters and workshops.
This is an excellent opportunity for feminist researchers, teachers and practitioners in and around psychology to meet and exhange ideas, as well as for students to present their work for the first time in a supportive and friendly environment.
The 2011 themes are:
- Feminist reflections on evidence-based practice
- Feminism and the psycho-social
- Feminism and innovative methods
Our 2011 keynote speakers are:
- Professor Jan Burns, Canterbury Christchurch University, UK
- Professor Michelle Fine, City University of New York, USA

We are pleased to announce that comedian Shazia Mirza will entertain us on Thursday 14 July after dinner.
