Delegate highlights from 2017's Liverpool Conference

''DCP conference is a fantastic event for individuals at every stage of their career into clinical psychology, from pre-qualified to professors. Every year I learn about diverse topic areas, feel inspired by the speakers, and proud of the work we do as a profession. It is also an excellent opportunity for networking''

''The PreQualification stream of the DCP annual conference offers a fantastic opportunity for pre-training and in-training clinical psychologists to learn more about the latest research and the wider issues facing the profession, as well as the valuable chance to meet both fellow trainees and senior psychologists''

''This was my first DCP and also BPS conference. I was presenting a poster and was really impressed at the quality of presentations overall. It was a great experience and I hope to be able to attend more BPS conferences in the future''

''Inspiring, relevant and thought provoking talks - the opportunity to meet people doing amazing work and research and discuss ideas was a thoroughly nourishing experience. Congratulations to the organisers for a fantastic couple of days!''

Being Bold in Changing Times

We live and work in times of significant change. Many of those working within Clinical Psychology are familiar with the challenge of providing services in the context of growing financial pressures and social inequalities.  Yet we continue to strive to embody and promote the core professional values of working with, and for, others and to challenge with courage and compassion evidence of those values not being adhered to.

The Division of Clinical Psychology’s 2018 Annual Conference will celebrate innovative and creative endeavours across the field of Clinical Psychology practice and research. We welcome examples of high quality research and practice from within the NHS and other public services as well as the independent and third sector. We are keen to encourage submissions that are co-produced with Experts by Experience and welcome those that employ methods to encourage debate.
