KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

  • PROFESSOR RAY NOVACO,
    University of California, Irvine. Ray has extensive expertise on the assessment and treatment of anger with a variety of clinical populations, including those with a history of violence.  He pioneered cognitive-behavioral therapy for anger, coining the term anger management, and has demonstrated the effectiveness of his treatment approach in multiple scientific studies.
  • PROFESSOR MARY MCMURRAN
    University of Nottingham. Mary is widely published in many areas of clinical and forensic psychology, particularly in the fields of personality disorder; alcohol, aggression and violence; and understanding and enhancing offenders motivation to change
  • PROFESSOR GISLI GUDJONSSON
    CBE, Institute of Psychiatry, Kings College London, & Head of Forensic Psychology Services for Lambeth Forensic Services and Medium Secure Unit.  Gisli is widely published including police interviewing, interrogations and confessions, and many aspects of clinical and forensic psychology practice.  He also consults for the Criminal Case Review Commission.
  • PROFESSOR JANE IRELAND
    University of Central Lancashire. Jane is widely published in the fields of aggression, violence and expert witness.  She is the Director of Assessment for Courts and Community Treatment Service and the Violence Treatment Lead and Forensic Psychiatry Treatment Lead for Mersey Care NHS Trust High Security.
