Best Practice in Expert Witness work and Independent Psychological Services
This workshop will involve sharing good practice regarding the provision of psychology services within the independent sector, with a focus on working as an expert witness. The course will cover the basic requirements to offer psychological services independently and the role of experience and training in the development of ‘credibility’. We will consider your CPD, supervision, and professional issues that you may face when working independently including common challenges and how to work with them. The workshop will also cover developing expertise and contributing to the wider profession and considering models of practice (e.g. individual or as part of a group / practice).
