Annual Conference for Educational Psychologists in Scotland

‘Future Priorities’ – The annual conference for Educational Psychologists in Scotland

This year the annual conference will be a one-day event focussed on the future priorities for the profession.  Susan Deacon will provide a key note address and introduce delegates to the theme for the day.  We will then move onto a variety of workshops led by Services across Scotland on key topics for the future of the profession.  These workshops will be focussed on national issues rather than service led initiatives and it is hoped that this will allow for ample discussion and debate among EPs.

Workshops in the afternoon will then highlight examples of good practice across Services.  There will then an opportunity for existing networks to meet, as well as the development of new national networks.

Feedback from delegates at the 2010 conference, as well as from the recent questionnaire that was sent around Services has been taken into consideration in planning for the conference this year.  Attempts have been made to keep the costs of the conference as low as possible and the SDEP has agreed to subsidise SDEP members to attend.

Representatives from the Scottish Government will be attending this conference, so let us use this event to showcase all that educational psychology can offer!

The timetable, workshop overview and workshop proformas for the conference are available to download at the bottom of this webpage, for environmental and economic reasons there will be no packs issued on the day so please use this information to guide your attendance at workshops.
