The Division newsletter is produced on a monthly basis and is currently sent out via our announcement list. If you are a member of the Division but are not receiving this publication please send your preferred email address to dtrp@bps.org.uk.
In an effort to be as efficient as possible with our member’s time the newsletter is kept to a maximum length of three pages a month (with the exception of the three bumper issues). Hyperlinks are provided within this document which will lead you to additional information on topics of interest. Aims of the Newsletter
The aims of the DTRP are to encourage the development of psychology as a scientific discipline and as an applied profession; to maintain and enhance standards of education, training and practice in the application of psychology and to raise the public awareness of psychology, and increase the influence of psychological practice in society, industry and the economy. These aims are sustained through a number of processes including promoting the generation and dissemination of psychological knowledge, and its application to human welfare; establishing and maintaining processes and procedures for accrediting training in the application of psychology and registration of approved psychologists and promoting contacts with government, the media, policy makers, funding bodies and industry.
