2006 Margaret Donaldson Prize
The winner of the 2006 Margaret Donaldson Prize was Dr Denis Mareschal.
Since completing his PhD, Denis has made a terrific impact on the field of developmental psychology. Using an innovative methodological approach, Denis has made substantial advancements to our understanding of perceptual and cognitive development in infancy and childhood.
Denis Marechal's research is of a seminal quality, in both content and in
approach. As a highly experienced and well esteemed researcher, Denis has considerable
international visibility and massive grant capture which has given rise to an
outstanding research environment.
In 1995 Denis was awarded the Marr Prize and later received the ‘Young
Investigator Award’ from the International Society of Infant Studies in 2000.
The Developemental Section were pleased to award Denis Mareschel with the Margaret Donaldson Prize at the 2006 Annual Developmental Conference held at Royal Holloway University. Denis can be seen below accepting his award from the chair of the Developmental Section, Peter Mitchell.
