An article originally published in the Journal of Occupational & Organizational Psychology has been judged as one of the outstanding articles published by the world’s top 400 management journals.
‘Doing good, doing harm, being well and burning out: The interactions of perceived pro-social and antisocial impact in service work’, by Adam M. Grant and Elizabeth M. Campbell (2007), published in the Journal of Occupational & Organizational Psychology, 80: 665-691, was recognised in August by Emerald Group Publishing in its Citation of Excellence Awards for 2007.
Each year the Emerald Management Reviews Accreditation Board, comprised of management experts from industry and academia including Cary Cooper, Philip Kotler, Darrell K. Rigby, and B. Joseph Pine II, selects the world's top 400 management titles.
Independent subject experts then make a thorough and rigorous assessment of every article in each of these journals and, each year, 50 outstanding articles are singled out for a Citation of Excellence Award. Authors of the winning articles receive an official certificate and badge to display on their work. The award brings with it peer recognition and, frequently, increases in research funding.
"A key feature of these awards, now in their 12th year, is the unique way in which the Emerald Management Reviews database works. Over 15,000 article reviews are added annually, so being singled out as one of the top 50 is quite an honour," said Debbie Spurgeon, Emerald Executive Editor.
