Eugene Burke is Director of Product Design and Innovation at SHL Group. His career includes service as a military psychologist with the RAF, United States Air Force and Nato, as well as setting up the Occupational Psychology Unit at the London Fire Brigade. He has consulted for a number of public and private organisations in the UK and overseas. His publications include articles and chapters on assessment, psychometrics, computer-based and online testing, training and competency design, decision making under stress and aviation psychology, including the Handbook of Pilot Selection. In addition to acting as Co-convenor of the DOP's Publications and Promotions Subcommittee, Eugene has previously served the BPS as Chair of the Steering Committee on Test Standards (1995-2000), as well as serving on various committees and boards since the early 1990s. He is also currently Co-deputy Chair of the Society's Publications and Communications Board. Eugene is the editor of the DOP's new publication People and Organisations @ Work.
