Management development
The development and training of managers is a key part of HR spending in organisations and a central part of the activities of occupational psychologists, not least because of the critical role of managers in delivering effective performance in organisations. This includes analysis of development needs, designing and delivery of management development programmes and bespoke interventions to meet client needs. Not only are psychologists involved in design and delivery, but also regularly evaluate the impact of their work, in terms of transfer of skills into the workplace and impact on performance.
