Change management
Factors such as the pace of technological development, globalisation, and frequent restructuring of organisations to better serve customer requirements means that change has become a fact of life in many organisations. Occupational psychologists use their understanding of the psychology of how people react to, and engage with, change to ensure that change is successfully delivered, managing the ‘people issues’ that invariably are part and parcel of implementing new ways of working and restructuring. This is often combined with expertise in organisational design and selection to ensure the best people are put into the right roles during business reorganisation.
